The drastic change in the state of atmosphere indicates us to revisit our practices. Clean fuel is a crucial aspect in this change. Let's understand how..
Recently, Delhi, the national capital of India came into
lime-light again gaining a new title “the Pollution-capital of India”. It is a matter of proud for us as it
is having a tie with the Beijing, China for having the world’s worst air. But the fact
here is that the Delhi-atmosphere didn’t get fatal all of a sudden. It’s has a lots of
episodes behind this tragic incident; one of them being the increasing number of vehicles on the road.
The statistics are showing that the number of vehicles specifically in Delhi have increased
by 65% since 2003 thereby increasing the amount of harmful pollutants being released
in the atmosphere. But, it’s not like that banning or decreasing the number of
vehicles will solve the matter.
Looking to the today’s era where we cannot even imagine the
world without these beautiful and powerful automobiles, the above idea seems to be a
complete joke. What to do then? Well, the most appropriate thing would be to move toward the
alternate, clean and green fuel sources.
People will give a number of excuses to continue using
conventional fuel sources but there are a hundred of reasons to move toward the clean
fuel. The first and foremost is that being a responsible citizen of the nation, it becomes
everyone’s moral duty to maintain the integrity and purity of the environment. Using the green
energy sources like the solar energy, wind energy, Bio-fuels etc. reduces the
carbon-footprints which ultimately reduces the carbon-generated pollution. Further, the use of
alternate fuels reduces the release of harmful pollutants like the oxides of sulfur and nitrogen
which ultimately helps in reducing the harm being done to our monuments and ancient buildings.
Furthermore, embracing the clean energy sources will be
beneficial to the national economy too. In a country like India which is a major importer of
crude oil, if the dependency on the exporting countries is not tackled well before time then it
will not be a good news for India. With the decreasing stocks, the prices of the crude
oil will rise and in order to meet it’s demand, India will have to pay the high prices
ultimately leading to the Inflation and currency downfall.
If all this is not enough, we must know that poor quality fuel leads to degraded engine performance, especially with engine designs becoming more and more complex.
Clean fuel is crucial for environment, economy and hence, for your own survival. If we keep refraining from this fact and not adopt cleaner fuel options, then the incidents like the Delhi pollution will keep repeating and will get more frequent ultimately leaving us with no other option than blaming others and falling sick.
